The way forward to reforms in the housing sector: empowering grass-root homeowners associations

 

On 4 May 2017 conference was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, Hotel Vere -Palace on the subject of “Management of homeowners associations (HOA) and energy efficient sanitation of residential buildings - Georgian and German experience”. Conference was organized by the EU project “The way forward to reforms in the housing sector: empowering grass-root homeowners associations” implemented by IWO. Conference was attended by the representatives of Tbilisi municipality and all 10 “Gamgeoba” (regional authorities of Tbilisi city) as well as representatives of IWO. Representative of IWO introduced East German experience in rehabilitation and sanitation of housing sector. Representative of Remissia, M. Shvangiradze, made presentation on the results of monitoring of Tbilisi SEAP (Sustainable Energy Action Plan) in residential building sector. Remissia’s partner organization New Technology Center (NTC) made presentation on the technical proposal for improvement of energy efficiency prepared for two residential buildings located in Saburtalo.
